Hagar Qim & Mnajdra Temples
Historical Places, Wied iz Żurrieq
Some 3600 BC back in history shall take us to Mnajdra Temples in Hagar Qim Complex, located in southwest of Malta, close to Wied iz Zurrieq. At the entrance to this locality, first stop is the Visitors Centre, where you can buy tickets and find out more information about the historical monuments. Later on, the path shall take you under the protective tent structure, where is Hagar Qim.
Going further downhill, 500m away from the first structure is Mnajdra Temples, known for the exceptional workmanship, demonstrated in architectural operation centuries ago. Whole area has a spectacular seaviews toward Filfla island. Spiritual travelers are visiting this sacred megalithic temples, especially on the Spring and Autumn Equinoxes and the Summer and Winter Solstices.
On the site is a small restaurant and toilet facilities for the visitors. The complex is open in summer season, 9AM - 7PM. Tickets are 9.00eur, 6.50eur and 4.00eur, for adults, concessions and children, respectively.
Public bus no. 74 is departing from Valletta every hour, as well bus no. 201 from Rabat (Mdina).
