Ta`Qali National Park
Famous from Malta, Mdina
Description:
Once Ta`Qali used to be military airport, serving the Royal Air Force (RAF) in WWII. Nowadays, the area is known as recreational and picnic park, featuring many different venues in open and closed space. The National Football Stadium, Ta`Qali Crafts Village, Malta Aviation Museum and amphitheatre are just some of them.
The area is not very large, but it is quite enough for some bigger concerts, big night club hosting the international DJs, then the area designated for traditional festivals, such as Earth Garden and Beer Festival. Right across the park is the US Embassy and nearby is the largest vegetable open market, called Pitkali.
Ta`Qali is centrally located and rounded up with the main regional roads, between Mdina, Attard and Mosta. Many public buses are passing by, directly from Valletta no. 56, and other lines no.186 and no.202.
